Dr Jocelyn HedleyIntroductory Talk: Dr Jocelyn Hedley
Dr Hedley currently works for the Historical Commission for the Archdiocese of Sydney and has written and researched extensively on the life of Eileen O’Connor. She holds a PhD from the University of Notre Dame Australia on the history of the Catholic pro-life movement in Sydney. She has tutored in Performance Studies at Macquarie University and worked as a dramaturg, an historian and for many years, as a radio announcer and producer. Dr Hedley is the author of And Here Begin the Work of Heaven: The Spirituality of Eileen O’Connor, Co-Founder of Our Lady’s Nurses for the Poor, Hidden in the Shadow of Love: the story of Mother Theresa McLaughlin and Our Lady's Nurses for the Poor and of the young adult novel The Wish Kin.
